wild camping spots and other queries - 2008/03/02 18:11
Hi guys were back after a long rest and still looking for that elusive guide to wild camping spots throughout the UK and Ireland and beyond that can be downloaded to my laptop for ease of use when on the road, does anyone hold a complete version of or know of any we could obtain from anywhere.
Our self build is out the window primarily down to my failing health again, and is still sitting in the driveway with seized brakes other than that starts and goes and most parts there to finish if anyone’s interested in it 97 p plate Ducato lwb hi top base vehicle with 79k on it in generally good condition all units, beds, and cooker, fridge etc never been used and some of it in place, some was removed for winter months to save getting damp, full Zig unit etc the lists endless really take it away for best offer around 2.5k on sorn mot May shame to let it rot really..
We are going this coming weekend to Cheshire to pick up a new VW camper conversion by CMC of Cheshire on a 2000 w plated T4 [it was apparently featured in volksworld camper and bus mag in may 07], we cant wait it is everything we wanted but far smaller and more useable now we have sadly had to put both our dogs to sleep we no longer need the Ducato anyway, once we pick the van up we intend to wild camp on the way home over the weekend of the 8/ and are looking for safe and secure spots around the Lake District, we have been to Ambleside previously and loved it so want to go back there any suggestions ???
And lastly we are seeking anyone between Glasgow and Cheshire who might have any of the following items for sale to suit a 2000 series w plated swb VW T4
Front a bar
Set of good quality spotlights
Fog lamp kit for T4 or similar
Side steps
Roof box
Tow bar
Tow bar cycle rack [for 2 bikes]
Exterior sun visor [type that affixes to external bodywork]
Rear door ladder [for tailgated model]
Cb radio [and Ariel]
Nokia phone kit [with or without phone]
Checker plate doorsills and rear doorsill
And a Fiammia pull out awning to suit it and possibly a drive away awning also
We would be most interested in meeting anyone who can assist us anywhere between the two points this coming weekend.
Please however note we will only be considering good quality items reasonably priced with all fixtures and fittings and preferably all wiring or diagrams to fit etc.
We duly look forward to all replies, which we will acknowledged of course
